The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) introduces a "gym project" for training industrial talents. They build an Academia-Industry cooperation platform, and provide a series of talent training services. This "gym project" contains pre-employment training, on-the-job training, and human resource enhancement, which can not only help companies to recruit talents in advance, but also richly cultivate local talents, and promote local employments for students in southern Taiwan.
The EPZA creates a precedent of Academia-Industry cooperation innovation, assists I-Shou Universiy, Chung Shan Industrial & Commercial School, and Orient Semiconductor Electronics Ltd. to start employment-oriented education programs. They also help Kao Yuan University, Kao Yuan Vocational High School of Technology & Commerce, and ASE Group to start employment-assured Academia-Industry programs. The representatives of above corporations, schools, and universities signed the letter of intent in the witness of EPZA Director Huang, Wen-Gu on 14th April 2015.
According to Director Huang, the EPZA matches companies in zones and schools in local communities for cooperating and starting employment programs. In these programs, companies provide internships for high school students and universities support teachers and counsel educational advancement. It is expected to provide high quality and stable talents for companies, assist students to acquire local employment and educational advancement, make a seamless transition of education and employment, and create a win-win-win solution.
In addition, Orient Semiconductor Electronics Ltd. focuses on poly-talents acquisition and endeavours to plan projects such as employees' career development and family care for maintaining talents, said Deputy General Manager Li, Jun-Kuan. ASE Group promotes "123456" industrial talents training programs, and creates a high quality working environment in order to make employees feel stable and peaceful at works, said Senior Director Li, Shu-Xia.
I-Shou Universiy President Xiao, Jie-Fu also indicated that I-Shou Universiy endeavours to promote Academia-Industry cooperation, and expects to strengthen the idea of Knowledge-Action integration for training outstanding talents for companies. Chung Shan Industrial & Commercial School President Lin, Zhao Yi said that its cooperative education has been promoted for many years, and its students were arranged to work in northern Taiwan. Now the new cooperative project can help students work locally, and it is worth to be promoted. In addition, Kao Yuan University President Tseng, Tsan-Deng emphasized that the implementation of employment education programs will help freshmen obtain jobs the moment they enrolled. Last but not the least, it is expected to cultivate outstanding talents for companies.
