Since 2014, the Executive Yuan has been promoting the "Youth Entrepreneurial Program", with the Ministry of Economic Affairs by integrating entrepreneurial resources from 13 departments to enhance the hard and soft power of Taiwan's young entrepreneurs. In 2015, with the continued popularity of topics relating to entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Economic Affairs held a "Press conference on a new experience crossing into social enterprise cluster and start-up hub" on March 26 (Thursday) at 2:15 PM at Jinghua Official Residence. During the press conference, Premier Mao announced the launch of the Youth Entrepreneurship Dream Building Website 2.0 and the opening of Jinghua Official Residence as a start-up hub and social enterprise cluster. These efforts will provide physical and online services to more young entrepreneurs and social enterprise teams.
Premier Mao Chi-kuo expressed that as entrepreneurial services and social enterprises require dedicated iconic place, he hence decided to open Jinghua Official Residence for this purpose. In the future, this is not only going to be a one-stop place for entrepreneurial services, but also an operation cluster for social enterprises, a dream incubation space for the young.
Premier Mao said the Executive Yuan has drawn up six main "online sub-programs" early this year to enhance the integration of actual policies and the online world. "Youth Entrepreneurship Dream Building Website Version 2.0" shall be an important part of the government's entrepreneurial service sub-program. Version 2.0 consists of eight main areas (funding, space, start-up info pack, calendar, highlight, Facebook, social enterprise and ideas), which are designed and planned according to the needs of the young entrepreneurs. Also, it couples with a mobile version and various interactive functions to allow young people of the new generation to grasp the latest venture information promptly.
Cofounder of Zuvio Technology, Chao Shih-lung; founder of Townway Cultural and Creative Corporation, Ho Pei-Jun; and founder of Changee Co-working & Creative Space, Lin Duan-Rong, were invited to the press conference to share their observations of entrepreneurship of the next generation. They encouraged young people not only to have passion and determination on their road of entrepreneurship, but should also attach great importance to obtaining entrepreneurial resources. The Youth Entrepreneurship Dream Building website and start-up hub are exactly the great helpers both online and in physical form. In the future, the "Mobile Entrepreneurship Taiwan 368 Service" will also launch and integrate all entrepreneurial information and bringing them to the neighborhood, so that the young people can obtain necessary resources more conveniently.
In addition, "Social Enterprise Online and Physical Cluster Hackathon" will be held in Jinghua Official Residence this weekend (March 28 to 29). Social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial workers and experts from the industry, government and academia will be invited to discuss the relevant issues and impart their knowledge to be used as reference for planning a social enterprise cluster in the future.
