Forum with the Minister with Factory Owners in the Northern Industrial Parks(Source: MOEA)

The Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Zheng-zhong Deng, arrived at Taiwan Nougat Creativity Museum, a tourism factory, in New Taipei City’sTu Cheng District in the morning (July 1st). As the first tourism factory in New Taipei City, the number of visitors to Taiwan Nougat Creativity Museum has exceeded one million, coming from 65 countries, in more than 20,000 tour buses. Museum has been selected for excellent tourism factory awards in 2009. The Minister also visited an industrial sensor manufacturing factory in Tu Cheng Industrial Park, the FineTek (Group) Co. Ltd. FineTek is Asia's largest industrial electronics sensor company, and its leading product is level sensor. This company had won the 2008 National Award for Outstanding SMEs by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and also won the 20th National Quality Award in 2010. Minister Deng hopes to focus on the development and business conditions of northern Taiwan food tourism factories and electronic automation industry they visited. The Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Zheng-zhong Deng, was appointed last December, and he works hard to listen to the voices from the foundation industries. In the first half of this year, he had arranged trips to visit every industrial park. Following the visits to central and southern industrial parks in January and April, and after the visit to Taiwan Nougat Creativity Museum and FineTek (Group) Co. Ltd, Minister Deng arrived at the service center of New Taipei City’s Tu Cheng Industrial District to join the symposium with northern industrial parks’ manufacturers. The main purpose is to exchange views with industry representatives and northern industrial parks’ manufacturers. Chairman Qin Jia Hong of the Manufactures United General Association of Industrial Park of R.O.C offered his gratitude to Ministry of Economic Affairs for their effort in promoting policies and measures on the issues of industrial development, investment promotion, global distribution, energy saving/carbon reducing as well as water conservation facilities. He also encouraged the Ministry of Economy Affairs to work together with manufacturers to resolve the obstacles and forge a breakthrough in the development of Taiwan's industry. This will act as a reference and to be adopted by future policy implementation, making continuous promotion for the healthy development of Taiwan's industry as a whole and to assist industry in its sustainable development. Industrial Development Bureau said that there are corresponding responsive measures to whether the food promotion and innovationin industrial electronic sensor applications comply with the four strategies of the Industrial Upgrading and Transformation Program of Action promoted by the Ministry of Economy Affairs, assisting domestic food manufacturers to develop innovative and high value-added products by the actions of "high value enhancement", "reinforcing the key elements", "system development" and "nurturing the emerging industries". MOEA also plans to assist domestic industrial electronic sensor manufacturers to develop the overall program in order to expand in emerging fields. It is important to support the expected leap in our science and high-tech industries.
