To upgrade the plumping component manufacturing industry, the Industrial Development Bureau authorizes the Metal Industrial Research and Development Centre to assist the Plumbing Association of Taiwan to create the certification mark for the association. This mark is expected to upgrade the industry throughraw material regulation, specification standardization and quality control. The process from raw materials to products is controlled to make the products comply with the high quality standard.
There are many competitions in the global market. Because of more and more free trade agreements, the tariff effect is lower and lower. Therefore, products with poor quality and unsafe products are being sold in Taiwan. The products are not only unsafe, but also can cause injury to user. So the mark of Plumbing Association of Taiwan in a way highlights the qualified products on the shelf. It make users recognize which product is safe and of high quality.
There are two types of marks. One is certifies faucet quality. This mark focuses on the basic performance of faucets. These faucets’ life-span is five times longer than normal faucets and can be used for up to five hundred thousand times. The hydraulic resistance is twice the normal faucet. The other mark focuses on the lead testing result. It can certify a drinking water faucet, by keeping the heavy metals (lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, etc…) away from you. We expect, this certification mark for the Plumbing Association of Taiwan can make people feel secure, provide safe products, and, at the same time, upgrade the local industry.
