Delegation of Taiwan-Akita Industrial Collaboration achieves great success in Akita(Source:MOEA)

In order to expand collaboration opportunities between Taiwan and Akita Prefecture of Japan, Industry Development Bureau, Deputy Director Jang-haw Leu and Tien-yu Chen from the Formosa Association of Resource Recycling led 14 resource recycling companies from Taiwan, including the Taiwan-Japan Industrial Collaboration Promotion Office (TJPO), the Institute for Information Industry, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufactures’ Association, and CTBC Bank, to visit Akita Prefecture in Japan. The mission of the delegation was to establish a cooperation channel with Akita Prefecture and the Bank of Akita, visit local enterprises, and hold a Taiwan-Akita business seminar on future collaboration. With the help of Akita Prefecture and the Bank of Akita, the delegation visited TDK, the Akita Industrial Technology Center, Kosaka Smelting & Refining Co., Ltd., and Eco Recycle to discuss Industry 4.0, 3D printing technologies and resource recycling. In addition, the delegation also held a business seminar in which the Interchange Association Japan, the Japan External Trade Organization, TJPO, and CTBC Bank gave presentations. A total of 60 people attended the event. The delegation also held a 1-on-1 business meeting between Taiwanese and Japanese companies. A total of 26 Akita’s enterprises took part in the event, and it was a wonderful ending. With the collaboration opportunities with industries of Akita, the TJPO will promote continuous cooperation with Japan’s local industry, and work together to develop the third-party market.
