█ Water Resources Utilization(Average from 2012 to 2021)

The average rainfall in Taiwan in the past ten years has been approximately 2,540 mm, and the total annual rainfall averages 91.44 billion tons. After deducting evaporation losses and infiltration, the available runoff water volume is 65.80 billion tons, and the average total water consumption is estimated to be 16.52 billion tons (Excluding conservation water and agricultural water in non-irrigated areas).Including 3.18 billion tons of domestic water (accounting for 19%), 1.63 billion tons of industrial water (accounting for 10%), and 11.70 billion tons of agricultural water (accounting for71%). The amount of groundwater pumped still exceeds the natural recharge amount.
