Taiwan sweeps 2015 APICTA Awards with four Wins and Two Merits.(Source:MOEA)

Team Chinese Taipei represented Taiwan at the 2015 APICTA Award (18th ~ 21st November) in the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, and they received four Winners and two Merit Awards, making Taiwan the biggest winner. The Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology Alliance, APICTA, is the most influential ICT organizations in the Asia-Pacific Region, formed by 20 member economies including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Brunei, China, India, Korea, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Nepal. This year 192 teams of companies and students from thirteen economies competed for 17 awards. The Industrial Development Bureau leading 12 teams from Taiwan swept the competition with four wins and two Merit awards. Four Winners:  Application Tools & Platforms - iStaging Corp  e-Learning – StudyFun Technology Inc.  Health & Wellbeing - oThe Technology Inc.  Security - Institute for Information Industry Two Merit Awards:  Research & Development - National Cheng Kung University  Tertiary Student Project - National Central University. To enhance Taiwan’s ICT industry and create more business opportunities, the Industrial Development Bureau has supported the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) to attend APICTA since 2012 to stimulate creativity and develop cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
