Taichung Software Park (TSP) created the base for cultural creation and digital contents industries. On 29th October 2015, three new investors were approved to station in.(Source:MOEA)

The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) convened an investment application review meeting on 29th October 2015, and three new investment applications, including Summit International Corp., LUYANG Machinery Electrical Co., Ltd., and Sheng Ruei Technology Co., Ltd. were approved to invest and station in TSP. The total investment figure amounted to NT$92.8 million. According to the EPZA, the construction project of TSP will be completed in the middle of 2017, and TSP will become the RD base for cultural creation and digital contents industries in central Taiwan. The EPZA indicated that Summit International Corp. invested NT$ 26.6 million and applied for setting up in TSP. It provides developing services of innovative intelligent bed-care systems and medical equipment, and customized planning design services of medical equipment engineering. According to Summit International Corp., it will develop innovative intelligent bed-care systems combining other ICT and cloud technology corporations by collaboration or RD consortium after entering TSP. LUYANG Machinery Electrical Co., Ltd. invested NT$ 31.2 million and entered TSP, providing design and RD services of innovative high performance permanent magnet motors. These motors have characteristics such as high efficiency, low power consumption, long life span, and little noise. In addition, high performance motors will become another trend in the future as the growing importance of environment protection and energy efficiency. LUYANG Machinery Electrical Co., Ltd. can collaborate on other products manufactured in TSP, and combine upstream, middle stream, and down stream motor industries for upgrading integrated supply chains. Sheng Ruei Technology Co., Ltd. invested NT$ 32.5 million and applied for stationing in TSP, providing services of ZigBee wireless communication RD and customized technical supports. ZigBee has several characteristics including flexible transmission distance, multiple node transmission, persistent battery, low cost, and excellent abilities in preventing interference. Moreover, it can be broadly used in various fields such as consumer electronic remote control devices, interconnections between computers and peripheral devices, lighting and industrial controls, personal health care, security surveillance, management of high energy consumption equipment, logistics tracking, home care, and smart home automation controls. The EPZA also indicated that TSP's developers have constructed buildings successively, and the completion is expected to be in the middle of 2017. With governmental assistances, TSP will be created as a RD base for cultural creation and digital contents industries. In addition, manufacturers applied for stationing in TSP one after another, set up corporate personnel training centers, integrated consumers' experiences with ICT technologies, developed enormous business opportunities, and drove economic development in the metropolitan area of central Taiwan.
