The Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is assisting the “Health Promoting Service Industry” by supporting traders in developing an innovative business model through a cross-industry matchmaking cooperation mechanism as well as integrating information and communication technologies (ICT). By doing so, it strengthens the nation’s industrial competition and helps the industry’s thorough development nationwide, while also expanding overseas markets. In 2015, we supported and completed ten cases, helping traders promote their integration services. The approach is as follows:
1) Combining information and communication technologies to develop a customized professional health service model
Example: Helping GOLiFE create new profit resources by combining wearable products and member services, and conducting service adjustments according to member experiences.
2) Building cross-industry health service integration platform and promoting the integration of value-added services
Example: APEX cooperated with clinics and health examination centers in order to build home-based sleeping test service mode to quickly test people’s sleeping quality, and is able to effectively make up for the long periods of waiting time for being tested caused by the insufficiencies of medical sleeping centers to increase the sales of the manufacturing industry with service.
3) Setting the layout for newly rising markets with the industry’s excellent health service brand image
Example: Helping GUIDER use smart watches to connect various home-based needs such as elderly people’s health, children’s safety, home care and medical services, and provide a cloud system for a health service platform mode that has the family at its core. It has already completed its mainland China cross-border service verification and signed three letters of intent.
The entire plan helps health promote related traders’ cross-industry cooperation, uses technological, modular and systematic approaches to build suitable innovative business modules, and helps spur development by expanding its reach. It aims to build ecosystems, stimulate the country’s industrial development, substantialize the technological process and the globalization of the service industry as well as the servitization of the manufacturing industry, etc.
