Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Shih-Chao Cho received a visiting U.S. Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) delegation on Apr. 13, 2016. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues, including Taiwan's bid to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership, cross-strait relations, and the current state of Taiwan's economic and trade development. The delegation was led by Dr. Elizabeth Economy, director for Asia Studies at the CFR, an independent, nonpartisan membership organization and think tank, as well as publisher of the bimonthly magazine Foreign Affairs.
