Boosting Productivity 4.0 by the 2016 Taiwan-Germany Productivity/Industry 4.0 Forum(Source:MOEA)

The Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs will establish a long-term cooperation between Germany and Taiwan to assist Taiwanese companies embracing Productivity 4.0. Therefore, the 2016 Taiwan-Germany Productivity/Industry 4.0 Forum will be held in NTUH International Convention Center on May 30. Leading German corporations will be invited to collaborate with Taiwanese companies, and win-win relationship will be forged by the interaction between Germany's leading precision manufacturing and Taiwanese industries. Industrie 4.0 is known internationally for smart manufacturing, so the aim of the establishing Productivity 4.0 alliances in Taiwan to improve our smart supply chain will be enhanced by introducing German technology, talent and business opportunities and the sustainable communication with Germany. Furthermore, the Taiwan-Germany Productivity/Industry 4.0 Forum is meant to promote the exchange of professional talents, technology, and business opportunities. In the future, Taiwan and Germany will continue to reinforce this cooperative and interactive foundation, thereby creating an edge for industrial technology and further boosting the collaboration. In the Forum, German multinational representatives, such as Erdal Elver (President, Siemens Limited Taiwan), Hansj?rg Sannwald (Director, Industry Sector Machine Tool Division & Applications, Bosch Rexroth AG Germany), Reiner A. Allgeier (Managing Director, Schenker (H.K.) Ltd. Taiwan Branch), Bernd Hoffmann (Managing Director, Audi Volkswagen Taiwan) and Tobin L. Alexander (VP, Manufacturing Innovation, SAP Asia-Pacific and Japan, Greater China), will share their experiences and shed light on developments in Productivity 4.0. Furthermore, leaders of Taiwanese companies, including David Ho (President, Inventec Appliances Corporation), Dr. Chih-Yaung Chu (Chairman, Fair Friend Group) and Dr. Allan Yang (CTO, Advantech), will talk about the proper approach to Productivity 4.0 for Taiwanese companies. This forum is expected to promote the communication between Taiwanese and German industries for business opportunities and future collaboration for the global market.
