Experiencing Lifestyles: Creative Holiday Events for the Dragon Boat Festival(Source:MOEA)

In order to provide the public with high-quality, aesthetically tasteful and memorable Dragon Boat holiday festivities, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEAIDB) has organized a campaign entitled “Creative Holiday Events for the Dragon Boat Festival.” The IDB first published its selection of FUN Taiwan Creative Life events via http://www.twcreativelife.com/, a website that features a total of 172 creative lifestyle destinations located across northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan. These creative lifestyle locations accentuate the pleasures and enjoyments of LOHAS, profound travel experiences, and Taiwan’s delicious cuisine, and enable those interested to better embrace the unique beauty of Taiwan. Visitors will not only enjoy peace of mind but also the pleasures of new and exciting events and activities. From today to June 15, 2016, visitors who visit the aforementioned creative lifestyle locations and participate in activities hosted on the Creative Life Facebook fan page will have the chance to win a prize--a bilingual (English and Chinese) travel guide titled Fun Taiwan Creative Life Guidebook. Included in the volume are promotional offers provided by more than 25 businesses of the creative life industry. The Fun Taiwan Creative Life Guidebook features a wide range of fascinating Taiwanese travel destinations, including seven major travel themes and more than 23 vacation routes. The public is encouraged to visit these travel destinations during the Dragon Boat Festival to experience the joy of creative living. For visitors who prefer the serenity of exhibitions, the IDB recommends the Taiwan Design Museum. Located in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the Taiwan Design Museum displays a wide variety of outstanding domestic and international designs that are also winners of numerous awards, including the Golden Pin Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Award. Through up-close observations of internationally acclaimed designs such as those in the exhibition, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in creative lifestyles as well as design aesthetics. The cultural characteristics of various domains in Taiwan as well as the creativity of talented individuals continue to inspire and drive developments in the creative life industry. This year’s “Creative Holiday Events for Dragon Boat Festival” held by the IDB aims to encourage the exploration of dynamic lifestyles in Taiwan and assist corporations within relevant industries to develop innovative business models, thereby creating a positive synergy through the integration of the creative life industry with leisure and tourism.
