In order to help the promotion of small wind turbine industry and technology, to maintain an international channel for small wind turbine standard technology cooperation and to successfully expand the overseas markets, the International Energy Agency wind energy research and development cooperation agreement (IEA Wind Task 27) working group was willing to hold the meeting in Taiwan. With the support from the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), IEA Wind Task 27 International Conference has been successfully held in Taipei GIS NTU Convention Center from April 25 to April 27, 2016.

With the support from the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), IEA Wind Task 27 International Conference has been successfully held in Taipei GIS NTU Convention Center from April 25 to April 27, 2016.
Through the IEA Task 27 meeting, the small wind turbine enterprises such as TECO, HIVAWT and SINTA electric engineering, can interact and share experience with the experts in the conference and help to increase our international visibility and competitiveness.
The BSMI pointed out that in order to extend small and medium wind turbine of international markets, BSMI has built international level small wind turbine field test sites located at Qigu and Penghu in Taiwan. The two field test sites have already attained the international accreditation from TAF, TUV and DNV, and can provide the small wind turbine industry with certification service which conforms to international standards. It can not only help to keep our small wind turbines industry in line with technology development trend worldwide but also promote the domestic and overseas markets. The accumulated experience and collected data can be used or referenced by offshore wind turbine developing requirements, and should benefit to Taiwan's wind turbine industry for next decade.
