“The Interdisciplinary and Value-add Tourism Factory Exhibition” is hosted by IDB/MOEA and co-organized by Industrial Technology Research Institute and National Taichung University of Education(NTCU) at the Taichung Cultural & Creative Industrial Park from June13 to June 19, The exhibition showcases innovative design from 43 college sophomores tfat are sure to draw. thumbs up from visitors. Tourism factory has become a booming trend in the tourism industry. Since tourists prefer novelties, business owners must continue to come up with the latest innovation and better service to attract returning tourists. As such, IDB/MOEA introduces the concept of integrating interdisciplinary and value-added to foster cooperation between tourism factories and colleges. Such cooperation allows students to use their innovative thinking to desigh cultural and creative products, packaging, DIY programs, and Line stickers associated with the tourism factories. It is hoped that such creations would spark commercialization from the factories, and would also provide factories the opportunity to recruit the design talents they needed. This exhibition is an opportune platform for students to showcase their talents, while allowing factories to scout for talents and select creations. The exhibition has 11 themes, such as “Gel a friend,” which targets hydrogel products. Students incorporate lively characters into hydrogel daily products to display the broad range of use of hydrogel in everyday life. Come to the exhibition at Taichung Cultural & Creative Industrial Park, Bldg. CD for more exciting and innovative design products. The exhibition is open to public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 19. Representatives tourism factories are impressed by the students’ innovative ideas. NTCU indicates the school has begun to offer design courses from the 2015 school year to allow students direct communication with the industry on the advantages of creative designs and work on improving their design capacity.
