In order to enhance the intellectual property capacity of enterprises, the Ministry of Economy Affairs has been promoting long-term consideration of IP services. To assist companies possessing knowledge of the global sensor industrial situation and initiating future strategies, a sharing forum “Sensing the Future” was held on July 29th, 2016 at the Hao-Ran international conference hall of National Chiao Tung University. Lu Cheng-hua, deputy director of the Industrial Development Bureau, delivered a speech. In addition, Patent Force, formed by senior consultants of the Wispro Technology Consulting Corporation, issued two analyses focused on autonomous car sensor and medical sensor IP strategies.
Sensors are crucial components of automation intelligence devices and systems, and the IP rights of sensors are primarily retained by foreign companies. However, Taiwan plays a significant role in the global semiconductor industry chain, and is renowned for experienced professional and technical talent. There is great potential to strengthen competitiveness and reduce dependence on foreign corporations by developing our industry chain, investment chain, and R&D chain in emerging sensor-related industries.
