Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Mei-Hua Wang hosted a welcome dinner for visiting Philippine Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Nora K. Terrado and her delegation on Sept. 8, 2016. As part of efforts to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and the Philippines in a range of areas, representatives of several government agencies and industry associations were invited to join the dinner, including the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the Industrial Technology Research Institute's Electronic and Optoelectronic System Research Laboratories, and the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association. Various topics were discussed at the gathering, including bilateral commercial, trade, investment, technical and industry ties.
