Digital Taipei 2016, the “Taipei International Digital Content Summit & Fair”, kicks off on September 7th, gathering international all-star speakers with the aim to facilitate the creativity of new generation in digital content.(Source:MOEA)

In response to the government’s promotion of the digital content industry, the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) is utilizing five elements, “Smart”, “Mobile”, “APP”, “VR/AR” and “Technology” to form “S.M.A.R.T.” as its theme for Digital Taipei 2016. The "Taipei International Digital Content Summit & Fair" aims to facilitate the creativity of a new generation in digital content. Having been held since 2009, the 8th Digital Taipei will take/took place on the 2nd floor of the Taipei World Trade Exhibition Hall 1 from the 7th to the 9th of September. The event will see participation by 214 buyers from 23 countries and regions this year. With over 170 professionals in gaming, publishing, animation, VR/AR, “Smart Campus”, and mobile applications, together they constitute the apex of business corporations. The Digital Taipei event was initiated in 2009 and has been finely tailored by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs with the purpose of enabling our digital industry to be able to share and acquire current themes, technology and trends locally, not having to go far abroad, thus at the same time establishing a platform linking the world and Asian markets. Each year, the Bureau invites speakers from among the world’s top international trend and technology leaders, and has so far staged over 180 forums, with the participation of more than 200 buyers from Southeast Asia, Europe, America, Japan, Korea and China in its more than 500 one-on-one business talks within its exhibition and marketing programs, creating business opportunities of over NT$2 trillion. Digital Taipei is an event that simulates innovation, upgrades industrial and technological R&D, and effectively enhances Taiwan’s opportunities in the global market.
