SRDC Promotes the Joint Exhibition of Eastern Taiwanese Products(Source:MOEA)

Eastern Taiwan is rich in natural resources as well as arts and culture, and the Stone & Resource Industry R&D Center plans to hold a product exhibition in Hualien this December showcasing the region’s special cultural features and qualities. The one-month joint exhibition, to be held at the Stories Behind the Mountain Center, is aimed at promoting eastern Taiwan’s marketable cultural products and, through development of co-branded products, boosting their added value in order to raise the competitiveness of the region’s industries. The “Behind the Mountain Co-Creation” joint exhibition will at the same time invite specialists from different fields to come together to engage in cross-sector and cross-disciplinary collaborative exchanges. The SRDC hopes to give wider exposure to eastern Taiwan’s distinct cultural attributes and to allow the region’s arts and crafts masters to tell their own stories through their unique products. It also aims to help consumers to more clearly recognize and identify with the east’s special culture, enabling even more of its traditional craft skills and creative products to spread in popularity, be passed on to future generations, and continue to shine in all corners of the land.
