Key 3D Printing Materials and Machine System Are Marching towards Industrial Process.(Source:MOEA)

The Plastic Industry Development Center (PIDC) was commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to assist manufacturers in Taiwan to set up an R&D alliance called ‘’Printed Cloth Product Applications’’ which focuses on developing materials for trial production at the upstream, developing flexible filaments such as SEBS, TPEE, and TPU. Furthermore, with the key design of fed printing equipment, development of machine networking and industrial FDM machine, we aim to optimize traditional industries by introducing the digital manufacturing process and bring them into the industrial process area. Using an industrial FDM machine by midstream manufacturer Hong-Wei Chi as an example, PIDC provides new filament materials and advice about setting parameters to solve the difficulties such as limiting filaments usage and convergence between upstream materials and downstream applications. By stabilizing the foundation of industrial process development, we can now successfully use innovative technology to break through existing restriction, providing the best printing quality for users and solution to automated production for the industries. We constantly accelertate 3D printing technology implementation in industrial process. In the future, the alliance will develop 3D printing filaments, enlarge the database of printing parameters, and develop industrial equipment in the digital process, in order to expand industry-oriented applications, promote traditional industry automation and industrial innovation applications, as well as spread the applications of high-value products for the marketing purpose of the.
